Tax Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our finance services client is looking for a CPA with 5-10 years of recent public accounting experience, ideally with a small to medium-sized firm. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and will offer significant experience in preparation and review of individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate tax returns. Experience with client management, financial statement review, staff training, and financial statement preparation is a plus.
This individual must ensure that engagement staff follow-up on open items and that engagement deliverables are completed on a timely manner. They will assist in mentoring staff by actively cultivating an environment that challenges, encourages, and fosters learning. The individual will cultivate a detailed understanding of the client operations, accounting systems, financial condition, and the industries in which they operate.
Requirements include a degree in Accounting and CPA firm tax department experience. Knowledge of IRS regulations is required as well as excellent project and staff management skills. Proficiency in ProSystem Fx Tax is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are desired. Proficiency in Tax Preparation and research platforms is required.
